March 18th 2016 - Spring Fayre - AH

Students across the federation have worked hard in order to prepare items to sell and stalls for the Spring Fayre held at Elmwood last term.  This year students put a lot of effort in to the advertising campaign, creating posters, flyers, invites and a radio jingle.  Each class at Elmwood created items to sell, with Penrose and Jean Rees also sending across students and goods and a few extras coming from Usbourne Books and the Parent Mentors.

With approximately 20 stalls, each of them very different, the Spring Fayre offered something for everyone, whether it was a tasty treat, a present for friends and family or just a little luxury for yourself!  As well as working hard throughout the spring term, students helped man the stalls, working on their money maths as well as their selling skills.  Students were proud to see their creations on sale and several chose to stay after school to continue the good work.

The standard was high, the food was delicious and the entertainment kept our spirits high – students from Robert Blake Science College busked alongside our own band.  Special thanks need to go to Marie Neale, who organised the event and contacted lots of outside providers to donate fabulous prizes to our raffle and encourage others to attend the event.

We are very proud to announce the total raised at the Spring Fayre to date is £1014.89.
